Building the largest LEED Neighborhood Development in Pennsylvania
LEED-ND is a rating system from the U.S. Green Building Council that certifies sustainable and well-connected neighborhoods, looking beyond the scale of buildings and considering entire communities. The Navy Yard is proud to be the nation’s largest LEED Neighborhood Development, having been awarded Gold certification in 2025. LEED-ND encourages walkable streets, diverse and compact neighborhoods, high-quality public spaces, reduced dependence on automobiles, and health and wellness for residents, workers and visitors.
Our development team has broad and deep experience bringing LEED buildings to fruition, including nearly a dozen at the Navy Yard that range from Certified to Platinum. In terms of the residential, each individual building is designed to achieve certification of LEED Silver or higher.
We’re Just Getting Started
Leveraging the momentum of the AVE buildings, we will develop another 3,500 units across more than a half-dozen residential mixed-use developments in the Navy Yard. Each will offer ground-floor retail, parking, and 24/7 lifestyle amenities.
